On July 8, 2014 I filed a freedom of information act (FOIA) request with the FBI asking for all files relating to Tandy from 1919 through 2000. I was later told that there were approximately 5,457 potentially responsive pages, and agreed to narrow the scope to reduce processing time. We reduced the timeframe from 1970-2000, and discussed the types of information I was interested in receiving first (my primary interest is information regarding the TRS-80 computers.)
On September 28, 2018 I received a CD-ROM with a response regarding Tandy. They sent 271 pages of reports, a "first interim release."
Update November 30: 2018: I received a second CD-ROM, labeled "2nd Interim/Final Release" containing another 22 pages. This is uploaded as "Tandy 2.pdf."

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act.
I am requesting any and all files relating to the company Tandy Corporation, also known as Radio Shack, RadioShack, RadioShack Corporation, McDuff Electronics, VideoConcepts, Computer City, and Hinckley-Tandy Leather Company. Date range: 1919 to 2000. The company is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at archive.org. The company was one of the major players in the formation of home computer industry, and is of great interest from a historical perspective.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request be filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
